Jesuit's run at the 2021 Allen
In-and-Out Holiday Invitational came to a close on Wednesday as the Rangers dropped a 57-42 decision to Cibolo Steele before closing the tournament with a 67-51 loss to Plano East. The Rangers will now set their attention on the District 7-6A schedule, which will commence in full force on Tuesday as Jesuit hosts Lake Highlands.

Ben Johnson and junior
Dylan Gibbons scored 10 points apiece against Cibolo Steele while senior
Will Mansour secured a career-high 12 rebounds. Senior
Sky Tschurr and Johnson racked up four steals each while Gibbons recorded a team-leading three assists. Jesuit scored 18 points in the paint and 14 points off of 19 Steele turnovers, but were hampered by a 28.3 shooting percentage on the afternoon.

Tschurr led all scorers with 15 points against Plano East, hitting five three-points and finishing the day 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Mansour scored 11 points with five boards while Johnson added nine points alongside eight points from junior
Michael Mathie.

Tuesday's showdown will matchup the Rangers, who enter the game 1-0 in the district following a pre-break win over J.J. Pearce, against the Wildcats, who are 19-2 on the year and defeated MacArthur, 71-28, in their district opener on Dec. 21. Last year, Jesuit went 2-1Â against the Wildcats, splitting the two regular season meetings with Lake Highlands before ending the Wildcats' 2020-21 campaign with a 55-46 win in the UIL Region I-6A Quarterfinals. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Walsh Gym, as Jesuit will host three out of their next four games.
