The Jesuit Dallas hockey team celebrated the members of its senior class on Thursday at the Richardson StarCenter, then battled Flower Mound-Marcus in a key late season showdown. Jesuit and Flower Mound-Marcus traded goals throughout the matchup, but a timely power play goal and late insurance tally handed Jesuit a 5-3 loss as the Rangers enter the final month of regular season play.

Two of the Rangers' seniors,
Charlie Cohen and
Alec Rahlfs, found the back of the net for the Blue and Gold. Cohen finished the evening with two points, adding an assist on Rahlfs' third-period goal. Freshman Konstantin Deshevvy scored Jesuit's final goal of the game as junior

Jack Reynolds added assists. Senior
Arthur Trapp racked up 18 saves in the net, including eight saves in the second period and six in the third as the Rangers looked to make their comeback.

Jesuit will return to the Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 22 when the Rangers take on Strake Jesuit in the final game of pool play before Sunday's championship game. The Rangers can advance to the championship game automatically with a Strake Jesuit win over Allen on Friday night, but with an Allen win must either defeat Strake or advance via goal differential. Puck drop is set for 3:15 p.m. on Saturday at the Valley Ranch StarCenter in Irving, with the state title game set for 11:45 a.m. on Sunday at the same venue.
