Lacrosse Scores Decisive Divisional Win Over Coppell

Scoring six unanswered goals to start the game, Jesuit Dallas secured a convincing, 14-4 win over Coppell to open divisional play on Thursday at Coppell Middle School. The Rangers will head into a three-game spring break trip to Florida with a 3-1 record following the squad's third double-digit outing of the season.
 
Sophomore Beckett Foley scored four goals to lead the team, followed by three tallies from senior Penn State commit McAllister Hobbs. Senior Charles Moran racked up six points on two goals and a team-leading four assists while senior Charlie Metz tacked on four points on two goals and two assists. Additional goals were scored by senior Jay Hooker, junior Donald Lambrecht and junior Greyson Kissock.
 
Defensively, junior goalkeeper Cooper Coleman secured six saves on the night and junior Kyle Dime added a save in the fourth quarter. Senior Will Reading won 14 of 17 faceoffs, junior Carter Bristow added three wins on five attempts, and Jesuit successfully converted all 23 of its clear attempts. Junior Billy Robertson caused three turnovers and secured three ground balls while Reading secured a team-high nine ground balls.
 
Jesuit will begin its Florida trip at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 as the Rangers will battle St. Andrews in Boca Raton. The Rangers will close out spring break with back-to-back 5 p.m. games against Western and St. Thomas Aquinas on Mar. 14 and Mar. 15, respectively. The Rangers will return to Postell Stadium on Mar. 24 to battle St. Stephen/St. Agnes (Va.).
