Highland Park scored 1:04 into the first quarter but did not find the back of net until the midpoint of the third quarter as the Rangers scored nine unanswered goals to take a commanding lead en route to a convincing, 13-5 win over the Scots on Thursday at Highlander Stadium. With the victory, Jesuit finishes the 2022 regular season undefeated against Lone Star State competition, and will enter the playoffs with an 11-2 record.

Beckett Foley erupted for four goals, all coming in an eight-goal first quarter for the Blue and Gold. Junior
Charlie Schmidt recorded a hat trick on Thursday wiith three assists, keeping his strong end-of-season run intact as Schmidt has secured 10 of his 21 goals in Jesuit's last four games. Senior

The Rangers exhibited stellar poise throughout the game, working the shot clock to slow the game down in the second half and moving the ball well, recording assists on nine of their 13 goals. Seniors

Connor Knight recorded eight saves in goal, and senior
Will Reading secured 12 face-off wins, including an unblemished 6-for-6 clip in the second half. The Rangers were 19-of-19 in clear attempts and forced six failed clears, including three in the first quarter to help the Ranger scoring run. The Rangers will next await their seeding in the upcoming 2022 Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Class A State Tournament. Set to begin on Apr. 30 at a location to be determined in the Metroplex, the state semifinals and finals are set for May 7-8 in Austin, Texas.
