Junior Charlie Schmidt scored with one second remaining in the first quarter, sparking a Jesuit Dallas run that saw the Rangers outscore Episcopal School of Dallas, 9-2, over the final three quarters en route to an 11-5 win over the Eagles on Friday at Postell Stadium. Jesuit hands ESD its first loss of the season with the victory, improves to 2-0 in the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) North Division with the win and stays undefeated against in-state competition.

Schmidt finished the game with a team-leading four goals, scoring in every quarter. Senior McAllister Hobbs recorded his sixth straight hat trick with three tallies on the night, sophomore Beckett Foley added two goals and additional goals were scored by seniors Charlie Metz and Will Reading.

Senior Connor Knight closed out the contest with 18 saves, including six during a fourth quarter that saw the Rangers outscore the Eagles 5-1 to put the game out of reach. At the face-off "x", Reading secured 12 face-off wins and added a team-high six ground balls. Junior Jackson Fagan caused a pair of turnovers while senior Charles Moran added a team-high two assists.

Jesuit faces a quick turnaround as the Rangers will return to home turf on Saturday to take on Torrey Pines (Calif.). The Falcons will enter Saturday's contest with a 5-3 record, most recently dropping an 11-10 decision in double overtime to Highland Park on Friday night. Torrey Pines opened the year with five straight wins and are currently ranked sixth in the most recent USA Lacrosse Magazine West Regional rankings. Face-off is set for 7 p.m.
