Senior Charlie Metz tied the contest with 9:29 remaining in the third, and a tally from junior Charlie Schmidt with 4:31 remaining in regulation put the Rangers ahead for good en route to a 10-8 win over Southlake Carroll on Friday. The hard-fought victory completes a 3-0 run through divisional play for the Rangers and clinches the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) North Class A West Division title for the Blue and Gold.

Senior McAllister Hobbs continued a torrent run through his senior season with a four-goal performance on Friday. Hobbs has now recorded a hat trick in nine consecutive games, and becomes the sixth Ranger since 2016 to reach 50 goals in a single season. Senior Connor Knight picked up his eighth win of the year and eclipsed the 100-save mark on the year with 11 stops on the night.

Metz, Schmidt and senior Nate Duncan scored two goals apiece, with Metz adding an assist and a team-high six ground balls. Senior Will Reading won 10 face-off attempts, including a 4-for-6 clip during Jesuit's fourth quarter rally, and tacked on four ground balls. Sophomore Beckett Foley closed out the contest with four ground balls, a team-leading three caused turnovers and two assists.

The Rangers will welcome nationally-ranked Gonzaga (D.C.) to Jesuit on Monday, Apr. 11 for a 6:30 p.m. face-off. The matchup will represent Jesuit's seventh out-of-state game this year and will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2019.  Read Full Article
