Five Rangers scored as Jesuit secured its third consecutive victory with a 35-7 decision over Lake Travis on Friday at Faith Family Academy. Jesuit will take a 5-3 record into the home stretch of the season, a run that begins on Apr. 23 against Plano Rugby Club.
Sophomore Luke Lamont started the scoring for the Rangers before junior
Jackson Chesney tacked on his first try of the season to push the Jesuit lead to 14-0. The Rangers took a 14-7 lead at the break, but closed out the contest with tries from sophomores Mitch Sullivan,
Chase Brown and
Dylan Wachsman. Junior
Jordan Mason went 5-for-5 in conversion attempts.
Kickoff between Jesuit and Plano is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday Apr. 23, and will serve as the penultimate regular season game for the Rangers. Jesuit will close the regular season on Apr. 29 in Houston against St. Thomas.
