Seven-Goal Outing Earns Beckett Foley USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week Honors

5/3/2022 3:01:00 PM

Sophomore Beckett Foley became the third Jesuit Dallas lacrosse player this year to receive USALacrosse National Player of the Week honors following a seven-goal outing against Austin in the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Class AA Quarterfinals on Apr. 30.

Foley has erupted as a major impact player for the Rangers in his first season on the Class A roster. Entering the final week of the season, Foley has 40 goals to his credit, and has scored in all but one of Jesuit's games this year, although he has recorded at least one point in every contest during the 2022 campaign.

Against Austin H.S., Foley racked up nine points on seven goals and two assists, helping Jesuit Dallas to a 17-7 win over Austin H.S. The seven-goal outing was Foley's seventh hat trick of the season and his second game of the year with five or more goals.

Jesuit Dallas will look to secure its fourth state championship this weekend as the Rangers head to Dripping Springs, Texas to compete in the THSLL Class AA State Semifinal against St. Mark's. Face off is set for 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Dripping Springs Middle School.
