William Hubbell, but the Rangers saw Frisco East score seven unanswered goals to end the contest en route to upending the Rangers, 7-2.
Mitchell Zenick added an asist for Jesuit Dallas while goalie
Jayson Hess racked up 34 saves. The Rangers had a pair of power play opportunities and were able to hold off three of five man-up chances for Frisco East.
The Rangers will return to the rink on Saturday for the second game of the Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) Division I Pure State Championship Tournament, where the Blue and Gold will take on Strake Jesuit. Jesuit is 1-0 in pool play following a convincing, 7-2 win over Allen on Tuesday, and can clinch a spot in the final with a win over Strake. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. at the Valley Ranch StarCenter.
