The Rangers improved to 3-0 on the year in their second road meet of the 2023-24 season, securing a 301-231 win over Flower Mound on Tuesday at the LISD Westside Natatorium.
Jesuit's dominance in the 200 medley and 400 free relay continued against the Jaguars, as the Rangers won both relay events to open and close the meet. In the 200 medley relay,
Jonah Ruhl,
William Savarese,
Luke Lary and
Sam Kennington teamed up for a 1:38.85 total relay time before
Sebastian Suwanda, Ruhl, Lary and Savarese clocked a 3:18.44 total relay time in the 400 free relay.
Savarese secured two victories at the meet, starting with a 1:40.67 in the 200 free before earning his second win of the meet with a 4:43.35 in the 500 free. Savarese's 500 free performance sparked a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Rangers as Suwanda (5:04.19), JP McCosker (5:31.02) and
Michael Tobin (5:34.64) finished second through fourth, respectively.
Kennington won the 50 free with a 22.80, Ruhl picked up a victory in the 100 back with a 56.26, while senior diver
Trey Smith won the one-meter with a 150.05 score. Second place finishers included Ruhl in the 200 I.M. (1:59.14), Lary in the 100 fly (55.72), Kennington in the 100 free (51.61) and Teddy Scherer in the 100 breast (1:07.26). Scherer, Hughes, Suwanda and Kennington placed second in the 200 free relay with a 1:33.91 total relay time.
Jesuit will hit the mid-point of a three-event road trip with a matchup against Highland Park on Saturday, Nov. 11. The event will begin with diving at 7:30 a.m., followed by swimming at 9 a.m.
