The Ranger golf team won the Flower Mound Invitational, propelled by a trio of par or under-par rounds during the two day tournament at Bear Creek Golf Club.
Senior
Max Chan led the charge, earning a silver medal with a total score of 142. The New Mexico State commit began his tournament run with an even-par 72 on the first day of competition before going two-under in the final day of the tournament. Sophomore
Jack Clancy (75-72) posted a 147, junior
Tim Sparks (76-74) recorded a 150, sophomore Spencer Cater (84-73) finished the tournament with a 157 and senior
George Murray (79-85) carded a 164 to round out the Jesuit lineup.
Jesuit won the tournament by two strokes over Flower Mound Marcus, combining for a team score of 591. Jesuit finished ahead of district rival Highland Park, who sent two teams that finished fourth (612) and eighth (634) respectively. In addition, Jesuit placed ahead of regional rivals Hebron 9609), Southlake (623), Coppell (629), Plano East (647) and Flower Mound (649).
The Rangers will conclude the fall season on Friday, Nov. 11 when Jesuit travels to Denton Country Club for the Fall Dragon Cup.
