FARMERS BRANCH, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas varsity golf team finished second at the 65th Annual Jesuit Dallas Invitational Tournament at Brookhaven Country Club on Monday.
Jesuit shot a 4-over-par 292 on the par 72, 6,827-yard Masters Course. Red River won with a 290 total.
Senior
Andrew Dominguez shot a 71 to lead the Rangers and finish tied for third place. He made three birdies and two bogeys on the day.
Sophomores
Jackson Straley and
Dexter Zimmerman both posted top-10 finishes after signing for even-par 72s. Senior John Kinzer shot a 73 and junior
Henry Schulze turned in a 77.
Jesuit will return to action this Friday and Saturday at the Region 1 Preview at Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The event was the final one for the Ranger junior varsity teams, who tied for first in the JV tournament at 301. The Gold team won the tiebreaker based on the fourth player's score. JV Gold was led by
Jack Lyssy's 73 (2nd overall) and the JV Blue was led by individual medalist
George Weeldreyer, with a 71 on the Champions Course.
