Jesuit Dallas Golf Finishes Fourth At UIL 6A State Championship

The Rangers recorded the highest team finish in program history

LAKE WHITNEY, Texas – The Jesuit Dallas golf team finished in fourth place at the University Interscholastic League Class 6A State Championship on Tuesday.
 
Jesuit found itself in fourth place after an opening round 299 on Monday before finishing with a 305 for a 604 total on the par-72, 6,985-yard layout at White Bluff Resort's The New Course.
 
The fourth place finish is the highest for the Rangers in six UIL State Championship appearances. JCP teams had finished as high as sixth in 2008 and 2024.
 
Junior Jonah Fahrenbruch posted a top-10 finish with a 71-74=145, tying for eighth place. He pulled to 1-under for the tourney after an eagle at No. 11 and birdie at 12 before posting a pair of bogeys down the stretch. It is the seventh time a Ranger has secured a top 10 place and the third-consecutive year.
 
Senior Spencer Carter tied for 22nd place with a 73-76=149 total. 
 
Freshman Jack Brown tied for 40th at 76-80=156. He was one of just three freshmen in the 71-player field.
 
Senior Alex Murray finished with a 79-78=157 total and sophomore George Weeldryer had a 81-77=158 score.
 
Austin Westlake won its second-straight title with a 578 score, six shots ahead of Conroe The Woodlands. Lake Travis was third just a shot ahead of the Rangers at 603. Houston Memorial tied with Jesuit for fourth. Southlake Carroll and Strake Jesuit tied for sixth at 612.
 
Henry Talarico from Westlake claimed the individual title with a 70-72=142 by a stroke over Daniel Trousdale of Tomball.
