Jesuit traveled to the Chicago area over the weekend to compete in the 2024 Scholastic Hockey League (SHL) Showcase, held in Prospect, Illinois. Against immensely talented competition, the Rangers finished the weekend with a 1-3 record during their second out-of-state trip during the 2023-24 season.

The Rangers' lone victory of the weekend came on Saturday, Nov. 11 when the Rangers defeated Carmel (Ill.), 5-2. Konstantin Deshevvy led the charge for the Rangers with two goals on the day, as seniors

In the tournament opener against Glenbrook South (Ill.),
Maxwell Reynolds scored Jesuit's lone goal in a 6-1 setback. Saratovtsev faced a busy day in net, closing out the matchup with 35 saves, 31 of which came during the first and second periods. The win over Carmel came after a 3-0 loss to Yirl (Ill.) to start Saturday's action, and Jesuit finished the weekend with a 4-3 loss to Stevenson (Ill.)

Jesuit will return to Texas and make a return to league play on Wednesday, Nov. 15, when the Rangers will battle McKinney. Puck drop is set for 9:15 p.m. at the McKinney StarCenter.
