Senior
Cameron Martin scored Jesuit's first two goals of the contest, sparking what would become a dominant, six-goal run to open Saturday's 11-5Â win over Memorial at Ranger Stadium. Jesuit will take a 4-0 record into a key non-district game against Westlake as the Rangers finish a two-game home stand with a pair of convincing wins against Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Class A South Division opponents.
Martin's five-goal outing was complimented by two goals from senior
Charlie Schmidt, two from junior
Beckett Foley and one from senior
Mercer Fernandes, who would also secure a team-leading two assists. Seniors
Billy Robertson and
Zach Fawcett would add assists while junior
Cooper Tilden erupted for a 16-of-19 clip from the face-off "x" while tacking on seven ground balls.
Sophomore
Aidan Raymond secured eight ground balls and four caused turnovers, leading the team in both categories, while junior
Henry Hambleton also caused a pair of Memorial turnovers. Senior
Cooper Coleman made eight saves in goal to help propell the Rangers to the win.
Face-off between the Rangers and Chaps will take place at 2 p.m. in Austin, Texas. Jesuit Dallas will return to Ranger Stadium on Wednesday, St. Mark's for a rematch of last year's THSLL Class AA State Semifinal when the Blue and Gold square off against St. Mark's.
