Jesuit Dallas rallied from down 15 late in the fourth quarter, stunning state-ranked Rockwall, 6
0-59, in front of a packed Ranger Stadium on Friday night. The victory marks the second win in program history over the Yellow Jackets and is Jesuit's third straight win in its home-opener.

Â

Zane Williams tacked on a rushing touchdown while junior
Ryan Engelhardt led the team with 31 rushing yards.
Â
Defensively, senior
Tristen Bird led the team with 12 tackles and a recovered fumble, followed by senior
Grayson Wombacher, who secured 10 tackles on the day. Junior
Robert Prager recorded nine tackles, while the trio of junior
Cade Gill, senior

Â
Jesuit trailed Rockwall, 31-14, in the third quarter before Krauss' trick play touchdown pass to Cutler helped spark the comeback. Three plays later, Bird jumped on a dropped snap to turn the ball back over to the Rangers deep in Yellow Jacket territory, and Peters capitalized with a 14-yard completion to
Quentin Williams to cut the Rockwall lead to two points.
Â
Rockwall scored back-to-back touchdowns to reinstate a two-possession lead.
Zane Williams capped a 10-play, 58-yard drive with a one-yard plunge to keep the Rangers within striking distance, before Peters and the Rangers responded to another Rockwall touchdown with touchdown passes of 34 and 61 yards to Krauss and Cutler, the latter of which tied the game, 52-52 with 2:59 remaining in the fourth.
Â
The Yellow Jackets quieted the Ranger faithful with a 75-yard touchdown pass, putting Rockwall up by seven with 2:17 remaining, but the Rangers worked their way down the field once again, aiming for the game-tying or go-ahead score. Peters hit
Zane Williams after escaping pressure for a 26-yard touchdown down the sideline, then broke through the Rockwall defense once again on a pass completion to Cutler to give the Rangers their first lead of the game with 23 seconds remaining in the contest.
Â
Jesuit's defense held Rockwall out of the end zone over the final seconds of the game, and a game-winning 50-yard field goal attempt by the Yellow Jackets fell short of the uprights to give the Rangers the massive non-district upset victory.
Â
The Rangers will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 7 when the Blue and Gold take on J.J. Pearce in the District 7-6A opener for both teams. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Eagle-Mustang Stadium.
