Jesuit dropped a 4-3 decision to Allen on Wednesday at the Richardson StarCenter, beginning a busy week for the Blue and Gold as the Rangers will face a quick turnaround and battle Allen on Thursday in the Texas Amateur Hockey Association Division I State Tournament.
Â
Allen opened the contest with two unanswered goals, carrying a 2-0 advantage into the second period. Freshman
Maxwell Reynolds secured a pair of power pay goals in the second to tie the game before Allen re-took the lead late in the period.
Â
Reynolds' first goal was unassisted before senior
Jackson Deininger and sophomore
Wade Bryan assisted on the freshman's second goal. Junior
Thomas Fino answered another Allen goal in the third with a goal to cut the Eagles' lead to one, but Jesuit was unable to find the equalizer prior to the end of regulation.
Â
Jesuit will begin TAHA Tournament pool play against the Eagles at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Comerica Center in Frisco before battling Strake Jesuit at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Valley Ranch StarCenter.
