The Jesuit Dallas hockey team took its first step to securing the program's sixth straight Texas Amateur Hockey (TAHA) Division I State Championship with a 3-2 win over Allen on Thursday at the Comerica Center in Frisco. The Rangers can earn a berth in Sunday's state final with a win over Strake Jesuit on Friday.

Everett Sahadevan to spot the Rangers a two-goal advantage. Allen scored with 1:57 left in the third and pulled its goalie to try and force the game into overtime, but Jesuit was able to withstand the Allen offensive onslaught.

Miles Tranquada was a massive catalyst for the Rangers, earning the win in goal and making 22 saves against the Eagles. Tranquada made nine saves in the third period, keeping the Eagles away from the back of the net to send Jesuit Dallas to the victory.
