Spring Season Kicks Into Full Gear at the Highlands Invitational

Jesuit finished the Highlands Invitational Tournament in second and fifth place, as the spring season began to kick into full gear on Tuesday, February 13 at Tennison Golf Course.

The Jesuit Blue team closed out the event with a team score of 326, while the Ranger gold team secured a 336 on the day. Jesuit Blue finished two strokes away from the championship title, but also placed six strokes ahead of district rival J.J. Pearce.

Sophomores Andrew Dominguez and Noah Jones were the Rangers' top finishers, with both golfers shooting a 78 for the Blue team and finishing the tournament tied for third. Sophomore Alex Murray finished sixth with an 80 on the day, followed by an 11th place finish by sophomore Jimmy Nackley, who shot an 81, followed by freshman JD Moore (84) freshman Preston Alles (84)m senior George Murray (85), sophomore Spencer Carter (86), senior Antonio Dimafelix (86), sophomore Mason Arnold (90) and sophomore Teige Mitchell (94).

Jesuit will return to the course on Feb. 23, when the varsity team heads to Georgetown, Texas for the annual State Preview Tournament. The two-day tournament will take place at White Wing Golf Club, the host of the 2024 UIL 6A Golf State Championships.
