The Ranger lacrosse team kicked off a busy Easter weekend with a resounding, 22-5 win over Keller on Thursday night at Ranger Stadium. The district victory provides the Rangers with their second district win of the season head into an out-of-state showdown against Torrey Pines (Calif.).
 
Seniors Ty Robertson, Beckett Foley and sophomore Cayden Bartusek scored four goals apiece to tie for the team lead, as sophomore Wil Fagan notched a hat trick for the Rangers. Sophomore Grayson Gilbert scored two goals while the quartet of sophomore Marshall Sorokwasz, seniors Dominic Campiti, Henry Hambleton and Greyson Kissock each hit the back of the net. 
 
Foley tacked on four assists to lead the team while junior Caleb Caldwell won 16-of-18 face-off attempts and racked up a team-leading 14 ground balls. In goal, junior Jack Freeman recorded three saves, including a shutout third quarter.
 
Jesuit will welcome another out-of-state opponent on Saturday, March 30 as the Rangers will battle Torrey Pines of California at Ranger Stadium. Face-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
