Competitive Shooting Opens 2024-25 Season in Terrell

The 2024-25 Jesuit Dallas competitive shooting season began on Saturday as the Rangers competed at the annual Knock the Dust Off Open at the Texas Gun Ranch in Terrell, Texas.
 
In the varsity division, senior Myles Vinyard was Jesuit's top finisher, placing 14th by busting 79 of 100 clays. Sophomore Austin Larson and senior Miles Lawson placed 21st and 26th respectfully, with both hitting 75 clays while junior Luke Goodman placed 43rdby converting 57 targets. 
 
Sophomores Gavin Dourty and Bunker Hill matched Vinyard's team-high 79 targets, placing sixth and eighth respectively in the junior varsity division. Paul Thompson (74) and Ryan Fitzgerald (51) wrapped up the Rangers lineup, respectively finishing in 11th and 22nd.
 
Jesuit will return to action on Saturday, September 28, when the Rangers travel to the Fort Worth Trap & Skeet Club for the 2024 SCTP International Fall Open. The event will feature I-Skeet & Bunker Trap shooting.
