Eight separate Rangers lit the lamp as the six-time reigning state champion Jesuit Dallas hockey team opened the 2024-25 season in jaw-dropping fashion, upending Highland Park, 8-1, on Wednesday at the Richardson StarCenter.
 
Jesuit Dallas goals were scored by Wade Bryan, Thomas Fino, William Hubbell, Danny Myung, Maxwell Reynolds, Everett Sahadevan, Tyler Woods and Allen Zhang. Bryan finished the contest with a team-leading four points after adding three assists on the evening, with Fino tacking on a pair of assists to finish the bout with three points. Myung, Reynolds, senior Brandon Peppard and senior Conor Parro added assists for the Rangers. Sophomore Kirin Zeikus earned the win in goal, posting 21 saves, including 11 saves during the first period.
 
The Rangers will continue league play on Wednesday, October 2 against Allen. Puck drop is set for 6:45 p.m. at the Richardson StarCenter.
