The Jesuit Dallas competitive shooting shotgun team competed in its first shoot of 2025 on Saturday, January 25, finishing second in the trap and sporting clay events at the Winter Wonderland Invitational in Fort Worth.

Senior
Austin Larson led the charge for the Rangers in the trap event, hitting 93 of 100 clays and securing second place honors in a shoot-off. Senior
Winn Moore followed close behind, placing sixth overall with 90 busted clays followed by a 10th place finish by junior
Luke Goodman, who hit 87 out of 100 targets. Overall, Jesuit combined to hit 436 out of 500 targets with its top five shooters, finishing 31 clays ahead of third place Prosper. Allen won the trap competition with 464 converted targets. Jesuit's top five was rounded out by senior
Gavin Dourty and junior
Paul Thompson, who hit 85 and 81 clays, respectively.

Larson added Jesuit's top placing in the sporting clays event, finishing fourth overall with 89 converted targets. Junior
Bunker Hill finished fifth with 88 targets, followed by Dubiel and Moore, who each busted 84 clays. Jesuit finished the event with 261 total targets, finishing 16 targets ahead of Highland Park.

Jesuit will head south on Interstate 35 on Saturday, February 1, and will compete at the ACUI/SCTP Lower Midwest Super Shoot in San Antonio. The two-day event will feature 100 sporting clay, 100 trap and 100 skeet shooting events.
