Rangers Compete at Lone Star Shootout in Cleveland, Texas

Jesuit's pistol and rifle team opened the spring season with a strong performance at the 2025 Lone Star Shootout on January 27 in Cleveland, Texas.
 
Senior Miles Trujillo led the charge for the Rangers with a pair of top-10 finishes, including the team's top finish with a bronze medal in the 1911 model competition. The 2024 SASP National Championship qualifier clocked a 58.06 to pick up third place, adding a seventh-place, 40.57 in optics rifle to place seventh. Trujillo would conclude his run with a 11th place finish in rimfire pistol, closing out the shoot in 56.08.
 
Junior Noah Nicosia was Jesuit's top finisher in rimfire pistol, placing eighth with a 53.20, followed by a ninth-place, 54.58 by senior Santiago Valles. Senior Alex Adee picked up a 14th place finish in the optics rifle with a 48.72 as Valles tacked on another top-20 finish, placing 18th with a 54.27. 
 
In iron rifle, junior Ford Carey recorded Jesuit's top finish, placing 16th with a time of 48.35 and was followed in 17th and 18th place, respectively by Nicosia (48.45) and sophomore Ford Feller (50.26). Carey would secure another top-20 finish with a 61.21 to place 19th in rimfire pistol, Alex Adee finished 20th with a 62.82 in rimfire, and sophomore Mason Muskovich placed 20th in iron rifle with a 50.06.
 
The Rangers' pistol/rifle season will continue Feb. 15-16 when the Rangers travel to Dripping Springs to compete at the Hog Heaven Sporting Club.
