Jesuit Dallas swimming and diving dominated Friday's University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 7-6A Championship, leading from wire to wire en route to the 11th district championship in program history on Friday at the Alfred J. Loos Natatorium in Addison, Texas. The Rangers will send 32 individual entries and three district championship relay teams to the regional meet following the statement-making performance that procured the program's third district crown in four years.
The rout began in the first event of the afternoon, a 200 medley relay that secured Jesuit's first win as the quartet of senior

Sam Kennington won the 200 free relay in 1:30.23 before Kennington, Suwanda, Lary and Ruhl capped Jesuit's dominance with a victorious 3:21.37 in the meet-closing 400 free relay.
Suwanda and Kennington captured two individual championships apiece to jump-start the Rangers' success in individual events. Suwanda scored the Rangers' first individual win of the afternoon with a 1:46.50 in the 200 free, followed by a 22.17 by Kennington that secured the gold medal in the 50 free. Kennington added a win in the 100 free (48.30) while Suwanda captured the individual district championship in the 500 free (4:51.11). Shippey secured the district title in the 100 fly with a 51.60 while Hughes tacked on an individual district championship in the 100 back with 59.77.
Overall, Jesuit scored 253 points, finishing 142 points ahead of second place J.J. Pearce. Jesuit allas head coach
Doug Moyse was named the Coach of the Meet, while diving coach Sierra Thain earned diving coach of the meet honors.
The Rangers will now turn their attention to the Region II-6A Championships, which are scheduled to take place on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 in Lewisville, Texas.
