The Jesuit Dallas football program continued its relationship with the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas by participating in the annual Buddy Walk on Sunday. This year's event was held at Riders Field - home of the Frisco Rough Riders - in Frisco.

The Rangers split into offense and defense to compete to see which group could raise the most money. The combined total exceeded $30,000, led by the offense with 88 members raising $18,160, just ahead of the 85 and $15,475 for the defense. People can still give to the program through December 31.

Seniors Cade Kirby and Tanner Krug served as the team captains for the event. Samuel Aristizabal, Joe Campisi, Jake Jackson and Wyatt Veltkamp all raised over $1,000 each.

Jesuit Dallas parents Michelle Phillips, Amanda Martin and Lauren Archie helped lead the charge for this year's fundraising as the 2025 Buddy Walk parent volunteers.

The day of the event featured tailgating and lawn games, brotherhood and companionship prior to the signature Buddy Walk later in the afternoon. The Rangers rallied around honorary team captains Luke O'Brien and Paul Wachsman as student-athletes representing Jesuit's varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams came out to Riders Field to celebrate the annual event.

Since 2015, the program has raised $271,044 for the DSG.
