LUBBOCK, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas cross country team finished in 20th place art the University Interscholastic League Region 1 Championship at Mae Simmons Park on Tuesday.
Jesuit compiled 529 points and were the second-highest finishing district 7 team.
For the second-consecutive year, senior Brayden Higgin botham was the team's first finisher, completing the 5k course in 17:20.10 for 95 points. Senior
Ethan Irrobali crossed in 17:32.30 and was followed closely by sophomore
Maddux Click in 17:34.50. The seven Rangers finished fairly close to one another at the end, with senior
Kevin Nazareth running a 17:40.50 and junior
Ethan Speer in 17:44.70. Junior
Joaquin Lopez completed the course in 17:53.80 and sophomoreÂ
Oscar Gooden running a 18:10.00 in his first regional competition.
Jesuit was making its second-straight trip to regionals following a runner-up finish at the district meet.Â
