Jesuit's competitive shooting shotgun team concluded a busy weekend with a strong performance at the President's Day Shoot on Monday in Waco.
 
Junior Luke Goodman was the Rangers' top finisher, securing a silver medal in the sporting clays event by hitting 86 of 100 targets. Senior Carter Dubiel, who earned a bronze medal on Saturday at the Winter Blast shoot, added a fourth place finish in sporting clays by hitting 83 targets, followed by senior Austin Larson and sophomore Paul Thompson, who finished 7th and 8th with 78 and 77 converted targets, respectively.
 
Thompson would add a fourth-place finish in the skeet doubles shoot with 81 targets hit while Larson secured fourth in the doubles trap with 77 hits. Dourty finished sixth in skeet doubles (77), senior Miles Lawson finished seventh in doubles (73), Goodman added a fifth place finish in American doubles trap (74) while Dourty secured sixth in the same event (73).
 
Jesuit will return to action on Saturday, March 1 as the Blue and Gold heads to Fort Worth for the SCTP International Spring Open at the Fort Worth Trap & Skeet Club.
