Jesuit Dallas hockey began its run at the Ninth Annual Hoosier Cup with a 5-2 victory over DeMatha Catholic (Md.) on Saturday at the Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Indiana.
 
Sophomore Maxwell Reynolds led the way for the Rangers with two goals on the evening while additional tallies were recorded by senior Conor Parro, junior Wade Bryan and junior Rex Garrick. Assists were recorded by seniors Danny Myung, Jack Reynolds, junior William Hubbell, junior Allen Zhang and junior Owen Deloach. Sophomore Kirin Zeikus secured the win in goal with seven saves over the first two periods, and senior Sasha Dikun slammed the door on DeMatha with a seven-save third period.
 
Jesuit will return to the ice on Sunday for a double header. The Rangers' first game of the day will take place at 9:35 a.m. (EST) against Calvert Hall (Md.) before closing pool play at 5:20 p.m. (EST) against Bishop O'Connell (Va.).
