Led by two major award winners, Jesuit Dallas basketball saw six members of the 2024-25 team secure a spot on the All-District 7-6A team, announced following a vote of league coaches on Saturday, February 22.

Steger was named the District 7-6A Most Valuable Player after helping lead Jesuit Dallas to a share of its first district championship since the 2018-19 season. Steger led the team in scoring average with 18.3 points per game, finishing second on the team in total scoring with 531 points on the season. The Boston College commit shot 46.7 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from three-point range and 87.3 percent from the free-throw line, adding 169 rebounds to average 5.8 boards per game. Steger opened the season by securing MVP honors at the 2024 Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Dallas Classic and continued to excel throughout the season, scoring double digits in 25 of the 29 games he played in while adding five double-doubles. Steger hit a personal milestone against Dallas Lincoln on November 26, crossing the 1,000 point plateau and becoming the first Ranger to do so since Gavin Perryman '21.

Grant secured District Offensive Player of the year honors following a dominant season. Grant led Jesuit with 583 points on the year, averaging 17.7 points per game. During the 2024-25 season, Grant racked up double-digit outings in 30 out of 33 games played, including two 33-point performances against Rockwall (Nov. 25) and Frisco Wakeland (Dec. 28) and a 31-point outing against district foe Richardson (Jan. 3). Grant closed out the year shooting 52.7 percent from the floor, 34.4 percent from three-point range and 70.5 percent from the free-throw line, earning a spot in the team's 1,000-point club against Berkner on January 31.

Peters finished the season with 182 points, 180 rebounds, a team-high 97 assists, 42 steals and 15 blocks. The two-sport athlete and future Dartmouth College football athlete racked up five double-digit outings during the season, including a season-high 16 -point outing against district foe Berkner on January 7. In Jesuit's key district win over Lake Highlands on January 21, Peters secured a double-double, scoring 13 points alongside a season-high 11 rebounds to put the Rangers in position to claim a share of the district championship.

Mahowald earned his way onto the second team following a 141-point season, adding 68 rebounds, 34 assists, 12 steals and three blocks. Against Berkner, Mahowald secured five assists to help lead the Rangers to another critical district win, adding a season-high eight points against MacArthur on December 20. Alexander scored 137 points on the year alongside 79 rebounds, 39 assists and 25 steals, erupting for a team-high 17 points in a district win over Nimitz on January 11 on a 5-of-7 clip from behind the arc. Jensen closed out his first varsity season with 154 points, 47 boards, 42 assists, 32 steals and two blocks alongside a 41.5 three-point shooting percentage. The junior racked-up eight three-pointers against MacArthur on January 23, the most in a single game since 2021, and finished that bout with a season-high 24 points.Â

Jesuit Dallas finished the 2024-25 season with a 24-9 record, tying Lake Highlands atop the District 7-6A standings with a 12-2 record. The Rangers finished out the district slate with six straight wins to clinch a share of the UIL 7-6A championship, including a massive win on the road at Lake Highlands, 67-48, on January 21 and a 67-63, overtime win over Richardson on January 28.Â
