An inspired comeback late in the fourth quarter fell one possession short on Friday evening as Jesuit Dallas saw its season end in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region 1-6A Division II Area Round with a 51-48 loss to Denton Guyer at Prosper Rock Hill H.S. Guyer led by 10 points with 4:19 remaining in regulation, but a jaw-dropping salvo of three-pointers by the Rangers gave Jesuit the lead with 44 seconds remaining before the state-ranked No. 11 team was able to escape Jesuit's upset bid with a late three-pointer.

Jesuit closes out the 2024-25 campaign with a 24-9 record and secured three key championships during the season. The Rangers opened the year by winning the 2024 Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Dallas Classic, added its second tournament championship of the year at the 2024 Diamondbacker Invitational and wrapped the successful season with a share of the sixth district championship in program history. The Rangers secured the 20th UIL playoff berth in program history before upending Arlington Bowie in the bi-district round for the program's ninth bi-district championship.
