Grayson Gilbert with 1:09 remaining in the fourth quarter lifted Jesuit Dallas past Westlake for an 8-7 victory in a Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Class AA State Quarterfinal on Saturday in Austin. The stage is now set for the Rangers to battle top-seeded Highland Park in the state semifinals on Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Highlander Stadium.

Saturday's semifinal will mark the second time this season that the Rangers and Scots will square off following Jesuit's dramatic, 7-6, overtime win over Highland Park on April 11. The victory provides Jesuit with its first playoff win since 2022, and the Rangers will enter championship weekend with its sights set on the fifth championship in program history. The winner of Saturday's semifinal will meet either Episcopal School of Dallas or The Woodlands in the THSLL State Championship game at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.
