Allen Zhang had a career night with two goals and four assists as Jesuit Dallas defeated Allen, 9-2, at the McKinney StarCenter on Wednesday.
Jesuit continued to hold a firm grasp on first place in the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League standings with 39 points. Prosper is in second with 37 points, well ahead of Frisco with 30 points.
The Rangers never trailed against the Eagles, lighting the lamp twice in the first period before allowing a goal late in the first 15 minutes. Jesuit then scored six unanswered to put the game out of reach. The nine goals are a season high and the most since defeating Strake Jesuit 10-1 on Jan. 26, 2024.
In addition to Zhang's performance,
Aike Han and
Rex Garrick each had a goal and two assists, while
William Hubbell scored twice. A total of seven players scored and nine had at least one assist.
Thomas Strand made 14 saves in picking up the win for the Rangers.
Jesuit will face Birdville on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the Richardson StarCenter. The puck will drop at 8:30 p.m.
