DALLAS — Showcasing balanced execution and a dominant second-half shutdown, Jesuit Dallas captured its first victory of the 2026 season with a convincing 31-14 win over Forney on Friday night at Ranger Stadium.
Junior JP Livingstone threw for 231 yards and a touchdown. He completed 14 of his first 16 passes, with eight going to senior Joseph Konings for 181 yards, including an 81-yarder just before halftime that gave the Rangers the lead for good at 21-14.
Senior Ty Daboub continued his ground assault, rushing for three scores for the second-consecutive game with 124 rushing yards.
Jesuit (1-2) got its best performance of the season on defense, holding Forney to no scores on their final eight possessions, including four turnovers on downs. The Rangers also had their first two sacks of the year and finished with 11 tackles for loss.
Senior Mack Murphy led the team with 11 tackles, while classmates Judson Harris and JD Moore had eight each. Harris had a big 12-yard sack in the final minute of the first half that stopped a scoring opportunity for the Jackrabbits.
After trading blows in an explosive opening quarter, the Rangers took complete control of the contest. Jesuit's defense posted a second-half shutout, holding the Jackrabbits scoreless over the final three quarters .
The Rangers established a 21-14 advantage by halftime before expanding the lead in the second half. Sophomore Kelby Bishop split the uprights on a crucial field goal in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach .
Jesuit Dallas will look to build on its momentum next Friday, Sept. 18, when the Rangers travel to face Princeton (2-1) in their UIL District 6-6A opener. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Jackie Hendricks Stadium.
