Kyle Muller closed out a performance that saw the senior post seven RBI en route to pushing the Jesuit Dallas Rangers baseball squad past Rockwall, 15-14, on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers would mercy rule Austin Westlake, 11-3, in their first contest of the final day of competition at the Jesuit Dallas baseball classic.
Muller finished the afternoon with four home runs over two games, finishing the day with a combined 12 RBI. Fellow fourth year
Jared Bond hit home runs in each of the two contests, driving in five total runs. Junior
Jacob Palisch earned the win against Austin Westlake, striking out eight batters in his regular season debut. Third year

Connor Lynch closed the gap to four runs. With the bases loaded, Muller took a first pitch curveball to dead center field, giving Jesuit its first lead of the game with a grand slam. A three-run blast by Bond gave the Rangers a four-run lead headed into the fifth.

Thomas Jordan with a sacrifice fly in the sixth, but Rockwall scored three runs in the fifth and four in the seventh to retake the lead. Muller ended the game on a 2-2 pitch, lacing a towering shot to left center to send the Wright Field faithful into a frenzy.

Bryce Bonner spotted the Rangers an early, 3-0 lead against Westlake. The advantage swelled to four runs with a rocket to left center by Muller in the third, who hit his second of the game after a Bond home run in the fourth to send the squad into the fifth leading, 7-1. Will Guzman and bond alongside a two-RBI single by Kengott helped the Rangers shake off a three-run fifth by the Chaps, and the game was called due to the mercy rule in the sixth inning.
The Rangers will next compete against preseason Texas state-ranked No. 1 Coppell on Thursday, Mar. 10 to kick off the Highland Park Classic at 11 a.m.
