JT Mix forced a bases loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning, ending an epic, three-and-a-half hour contest and keeping the Rangers' season alive with a 3-2 win in game two of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A Region II Semifinal against Conroe Oak Ridge.
The Rangers (32-8-2) answered the call in the first and sixth innings, answering runs by the War Eagles (23-12) with runs of their own. Senior
Pete Hamrick drove home Mix in the first on a single to left center, and junior
Mark Ready tied the contest with a single to center in the sixth to plate Hamrick. In total, Jesuit scattered 12 hits, including two hits each for Hamrick and his fellow seniors
Kyle Muller and
Bryce Bonner.

Muller dueled with Oak Ridge starting pitcher Jacory Bodreaux, hurling nine innings of work, allowing two runs, on seven hits and striking out eight. Junior
JJ Montenegro picked up the save after throwing two innings of two-hit work.
Game three will take place on Saturday, May 28, with first pitch scheduled for 10 a.m. at Horner Ballpark on the campus of Dallas Baptist University.
