Hollerich finished with 16 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the floor and 2-of-4 from three-point range. Senior
Julius Marble added a team-leading 19 points, falling one rebound short of a double-double with a squad-leading nine rebounds. Senior

Jesuit shot 52.7 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from three-point range, scoing 40 points in the paint compared to 14 from the Skeeters. In addition, the Rangers out-rebounded Mesquite, 34-24 while holding the Skeeters to 41.3 percent from the floor and 14 turnovers.

The Rangers erupted for a 12-3 lead halfway through the first quarter, capping a dominating, game-opening run with a thunderous dunk by Marble. The Rangers took a 27-11 lead into the second quarter after a final four minutes which saw Jesuit shoot 6-of-6 from the floor, including six points from Hollerich over that span. Jesuit continued its dominant scoring run with a 12-6 run to open the second quarter, taking a 22-point lead with 2:25 remaining in the half.

Mesquite attempted to make a run at the Jesuit lead by opening the half hitting six buckets and going 4-for-4 from three-point range, slicing the Jesuit advantage to 10 points with 3:04 remaining in the quarter. However, Marble gave momentum right back to the Rangers with a step-in three-pointer, sparking an 11-0 run that closed the third quarter and opened the fourth to give Jesuit a 21-point lead with 7:12 left in the contest. An 11-4 run by Mesquite cut the lead to 14, but the Rangers clinched the win with another 10 unanswered points, including seven points from Abmas.

Jesuit will next travel to Frisco to take part in the 2018 Lone Star Classic, set for Nov. 19-20 at Lone Star High School. The Rangers will battle Lincoln and Denton at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively on Nov. 19 before closing out the four-game schedule against Frisco Liberty (9 a.m.) and OKC Storm (3 p.m.) on Nov. 20.
