Jesuit withstood seven shots from Sachse and forged a 0-0 tie in the team's non-district finale on Friday at Sachse H.S. The Mustangs placed three shots on goal but several key stops late in the second half kept the tie intact as Jesuit heads into district play with a 1-1-1 record.
 
Senior goalkeeper Thomas Jubin made three saves in the first half before classmate Parker Christensen took over in the second half and withstood a pair of shots. Sophomore defender Arnold Perez-Valenzuela recorded Jesuit's lone shot on goal while junior Nathaniel Walker added an additional shot. Overall, the Rangers earned one corner attempt but committed five fouls.
 
Sachse took a shots on goal in the 15th and 24th minute of the opening half, both of which were stopped by Jubin. Another attempt by the Mustangs in the 28th minute was blocked before Perez-Valenzuela took his shot in the 36th minute.
 
The second half was dominated by Sachse as the Mustangs took two corner kicks and a pair of shots. Jesuit had a corner kick in the 70th minute and a shot in the 73rd minute, but the game ended as a scoreless draw as neither team found the net for the go-ahead tally.
 
Jesuit will enter district play on Tuesday, Jan. 21 as the Rangers welcome Plano West to Postell Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Jesuit will head to McKinney ISD Stadium on Friday to take on Boyd on Friday.
