Keeping the Rock: Jesuit's offense out-possessed Marcus, 30:03 – 17:43, in the team's season-opener on Friday, a time of possession that was the team's longest since the UIL Region II-6A Championship game against Spring Westfield in December of 2019. The Rangers were able to run out the clock with a drive that took out the remaining 5:09 of the contest, one of three drives that were longer than four minutes. Jesuit converted a pair of third-and-medium downs, the first on a six-yard pass from Roy to Krepp before Fitzgerald gained six on a third down to seal the game.
