Jesuit Dallas saw its historic, 26-meet winning streak snapped by Frisco Wakeland, a team considered as one of the top contenders for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 5A State Championship, on Wednesday at the David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center. Despite four event victories and a pair of pool records, the Rangers fell to the Wolverines, 117-69, in the second competitive meet in the history of the newest facility on the Jesuit Dallas campus.
Senior
Alexander Hung set a new pool record in the 100 fly, hitting the wall first with a 54.10. Junior
Leonardo Pelaez added the team's second pool record of the day with a 2:00.57 in the 200 I.M., then later added Jesuit's top finish in the 500 free with a second-place swim of 4:50.78. Sophomore
William Savarese won the 200 free with a 1:45.25, then added a 48.60 in the 100 free to place second.
Hung joined
Palmer Bowman,
Jaden Giunta and
James Savarese in the Rangers' victorious 200 medley relay, a win that opened the event. Jesuit recorded a 1:44.91 total relay time to pick up the victory.
James Savarese tacked on a third-place finish in the 500 free (5:00.06) while Bowman finished second in the 100 back with a 56.07.

Alexander McSorley and Pelaez secured a 1:35.12 total relay time to finish third in the meet-ending 200 free relay. Sophomore
Thatch Balady was Jesuit's top finisher in the one-meter dive event with a third-place, 150.40 score during the six-dive run.
Jesuit will close the regular season schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 11 when the Rangers host Highland Park at the David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center. The diving portion will begin at 4:15 p.m., followed by the swimming portion at 6 p.m.
