Jesuit Dallas dropped a 2-0 bout to J.J. Pearce to open District 7-6A play on Friday at J.J. Pearce H.S. The Rangers were limited by a determined Pearce squad that entered the matchup with a 6-2-2 record.

Christian Rodriguez took over in the second haf, picking up five saves in goal. The Rangers were limited to one shot on the night, taken by junior
James McCrea. Jesuit was held without a corner kick attempt and had six free kicks, but fell victim to a locked in Mustang offense that took 14 shots, including 10 on target, and developed five corner kick attempts.
Jesuit will return to Postell Stadium on Jan. 28 to battle Lake Highlands. The Wildcats opened district play on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over MacArthur, and are 3-2-1 head into Friday's showdown. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
