Jesuit Dallas fell to 1-1 on the year following a 263-237 setback to Flower Mound on Oct. 20 at LISD Eastside. The Rangers scored wins in four events as the competitive season began in earnest following a nearly one-month pause against external competition.
Junior
William Savarese won two events, capturing the 200 I.M. in 1:53.20 before closing out the meet with a 4:35.97 to win the 500 free. Freshman
Sebastian Suwanda (5:13.29), junior Jake Follett (5:39.37) and sophomore
Jackson Powell (5:48.03) finished second through fourth, respectively in the 500 free to provide Jesuit with some key points against the Jaguars.
Jesuit swept the one-meter dive event, with junior
Thatch Balady (180.60) picking up the win, followed by senior
Trey Smith (145.30) and freshman Luca Shipley (104.90). The Rangers closed out the event with a win in the 400 free relay, as the team of Savarese, Suwanda, freshman

Flyn Hughes picked up a 3:24.21 total relay time.

Alexander McSorley swam a 1:48.76 to place third in the 200 free relay, Suwanda (1:54.87) placed second in the 20 free, a fourth-place 24.15 from Giunta was Jesuit's top finish in the 50 free, Hughes tacked on a 57.82 in the 100 fly to place third and freshman
Sam Kennington was the Rangers' top finisher in the 100 free, following a strong, 24.90 in the 50 free with a 56.40 in the 100 free. Giunta, Suwanda, McSorley and Savarese placed second in the 200 free relay with a 1:34.92.
Jesuit will next compete at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium on Tuesday, Oct. 25 against Allen and Lovejoy. The tri-meet is set to start with diving at 3:15 p.m., followed by the swimming portion at 6 p.m.
