Four members of the Jesuit Dallas wrestling team earned a spot on the podium as the Rangers placed eighth at the Richardson Round-Up on Saturday at Richardson High School.
Senior Timmy Keyes earned a silver medal at 120 pounds, scoring a pin fall in 44 seconds against Richardson. Senior
Michael Geary earned three wins, the first two coming via pin fall before a 9-0 major decision over Frisco in the third-place match of the 175-pound bracket to pick up the bronze medal.
Fourth year grappler
Alexander Menard scored a win in the consolation semi en route to a fourth place finish in the 132-pound bracket, and senior
Jackson Chesney scored two pin falls and finished fourth at 285 pounds.
In the junior varsity division, Kingston Stevens, Alex Shomin and Nicholas Westerheide finished first, respectively, in the 91-101, 104-117 and 130-135 pound divisions.
Jesuit Dallas will return to action on Dec. 1-3 when the Rangers will compete in the Colleyville Tournament. Jesuit will begin the event on Thursday, Dec. 1 with the junior varsity division before varsity competes in a two-day tournament over the weekend.
