Jesuit Dallas wrestling concluded another packed week at the Mike McCready Memorial Invitational, held on Dec. 2-3 at Colleyville High School.
Oliver Collins and
Dolen Hedrick won three matches apiece at the tournament, the highest totals among the team. Collins competed in the 157-pound bracket, and secured two pin fall victories to open competition in order to reach the championship quarterfinal. After dropping to the consolation rounds, Collins notched his third pin fall of the tournament over Southlake Carroll. Hedrick scored a win in the first round, pinning his opponent in 27 seconds to advance to the second round. Hedrick tacked on a pair of wins in the consolation round for his second and third win of the weekend.
An-Jie Kryger and
Alex Lizardi each secured a pair of wins, while
Spencer Broussard secured an 11-5 decision in the consolation bracket. Jesuit would place 24th overall with 35 points, finishing above district rivals Berkner (26), Irving (9), Nimitz (7) and MacArthur (4).
Jesuit will next travel to St. Mark's School of Dallas for a tri-meet against J.J. Pearce and the Lions on Wedesday, Dec. 7.
