Arnold Perez-Valenzuela scored his eighth goal and 19th point of the season, giving Jesuit a 1-0 lead early against Nimitz. However, the Vikings scored three unanswered goals down the stretch, handing Jesuit a 3-1 setback on Monday in Irving.
Perez scored in the 11th minute on an intercepted pass, depositing a shot from 18 yards out into the back of the net. It was one of two first half shots for the Rangers, who were outshot 18-5 by the Vikings. Nimitz erupted out of halftime for 12 shots, tying the game in the 45th minute before taking the lead with tallies in the 62nd and 72nd minute. Jesuit will face a quick turnaround as the Rangers will take on Berkner on Tuesday at Postell Stadium. The Rangers' busy week will conclude on Friday as the Rangers will hit the road once again to take on Irving this Friday.
