A grand slam by junior
Preston Payne punctuated a 12-run third inning that propelled Jesuit Dallas to a 17-3 win over MacArthur on Tuesday at Wright Field. One of seven extra-base hits on the night, Payne's first varsity home run helped lead the Rangers to their second district win of the season.
The junior's blast to left center field came at the tail end of the inning as the Rangers batted around. Senior
Myles Tucker matched Payne's output with four RBI on the night, going 2-for-4 with a double and a bases-clearing triple. Juniors
Callen Singhania and
Weston Okamoto drove in two runs apiece while the senior tandem of
Jake Storey and
Cash Riley each went 2-for-2 with two runs cored, an RBI and two doubles.
Additional runs were driven in by junior

Jonah Timmons and freshman
Jake Fults. Junior
Luke Isett picked up his fifth win of the season with a complete game effort.
Jesuit will wrap its season series against MacArthur in Irving on Friday before battling Princeton in a non-district bout on Saturday, April 2. The Rangers will return to Wright Field on Tuesday, April 5 against Nimitz.
