Jesuit split the second day of the Collin County Invitational on Friday, upending Denton Ryan, 6-2, in the nightcap following a 9-1 setback to Byron Nelson at Wright Field.

Against Denton Ryan, the Rangers were sparked by junior
Patrick Bonner's two-run single in the bottom of the third, capping a three-run inning that put the Rangers in position for the victory. Junior
Weston Okamoto went 2-for-3 at the plate as junior
Dominic Migliore recorded a hit and scored twice. Senior
Cash Riley earned two walks and hit a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second.

Sophomore Aiden Emmerton earned the first varsity win of his career in his first varsity start, striking out four batters and only allowing three hits over six innings.

Migliore drove in Jesuit's lone run against Byron Nelson, a RBI groundout in the first that plated Riley. Junior
Jack Barr struck out four batters over his four innings of work, junior
Will Greenwood racked up a pair of strikeouts during his time on the mound and junior
Preston Payne did not allow a hit over the final 1.1 innings of the contest.

Jesuit will return to action on Saturday for the final day of the Collin County Invitational. The Rangers will open the day against Midlothian Heritage at 10 a.m. before wrapping the tournament at 12:30 p.m. against Plano East.
