Jesuit Ties J.J. Pearce in District Opener

The Rangers' goalkeeping contingent stood tall on Tuesday, recording four saves to help Jesuit Dallas secure a 0-0 tie against J.J. Pearce in both team's District 7-6A opener on Tuesday at J.J. Pearce High School. 

Senior Cole Hines played the first half for Jesuit, picking up a save in the 11th minute. Fellow fourth year Christian Rodriguez took over in goal during the second half, securing a trio of saves to keep the shutout intact and helping Jesuit secure a road tie. The Rangers placed three shots on goal, with the attempts made by sophomore Noah McGough, junior George Horvat and senior Erwin Ordaz

Jesuit will return to Ranger Stadium with a 3-0-1 record on the season for a 7:30 p.m. showdown against Irving on Friday. Irving opened district play on Tuesday, upending Highland Park, 1-0.
