Jesuit Dallas wrestling began its 2023-24 season on Nov. 9 as the Rangers traveled to McKinney for a tri-match against McKinney Boyd and Frisco Wakeland. The Rangers split the two dual meets, defeating Wakeland, 48-20 while dropping a narrow, 40-38 decision to Boyd.
Against Wakeland, four Rangers earned victories. Sophomore
Alex Shomin was an early spark for the Rangers, earning a pin fall win at 126 pounds. Senior

Luke Bloodworth finished out the head-to-head victories for the Blue and gold.
Boyd was able to escape the Rangers with a victory via a pair of weight class forfeits, as the Rangers captured wins in seven of the 12 head-to-head matches. Junior
Owen White led off the dual with a pin fall at 113 pounds, followed by a victorious, 6-3 decision for Shomin, who picked up his second win of the evening. Lopez and Bloodworth joined seniors

The Rangers will compete in their first tournament of the season on Saturday, as Jesuit travels to Arlington H.S. for the 2023 Arlington Invitational. The action is set to start at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
