The Jesuit Dallas swimming & diving team finished third at the North Zone TISCA meet from Nov. 16-18 at the LISD Westside Natatorium in Lewisville.
The Rangers' 200 medley and 400 free relay teams secured bronze medals, with the 200 medley relay team securing a meet-opening 1:36.49 to reach the podium. The Ranger relay team consisted of
Jonah Ruhl,
William Savarese,
Luke Lary and
Sam Kennington. To close the meet, Ruhl, Lary,
Sebastian Suwanda and Savarese posted a 3:12.30 total relay time to finish in third.
Jesuit dominated the podium in the 200 freestyles, as Savarese won the event in 1:38.30 and was followed closely behind by a 1:43.92 by Ruhl. Suwanda gave the Rangers several critical points in the team standings with a fifth-place finish in the 200 free. Savarese would add a bronze medal in the 100 fly with a 50.51.
Kennington closed out the 50 free in eighth (22.90) and Ruhl captured the win in the B-Final of the 100 free with a 48.04.
Alexander McSorley, Teddy Scherer, Kennington and Suwanda placed fifth in the 200 free relay with a total relay time of 1:31.48.
Jesuit would finish with 340.5 points in the team standings, finishing 6.5 points ahead of Flower Mound Marcus and 21.5 points ahead of Coppell. The Rangers will return to action on November 28, when the Blue and Gold host Greenhill and Parish Episcopal. The tri-meet between the Rangers, Hornets and Panthers will start at 6 p.m.
